Here’s a structured summary of the chanting competition rules for different student groups:
Chanting Guidelines
1. Shishu Vihar, Dhruva, Nachiketa, and Gyaneshwara Students
- They must continuously chant the verses assigned to them.
2. Special Category Students(Dhruva, Nachiketa & Gyaneshwara), Aaruni, Shri Rama, Shri Krishna, Chinmaya & Tapovan students
- They will chant 3 continuous verses from 4 different sets.
- Verse selection will be random:
-
-
There will be 4 bowls, each containing chits with verse numbers.
-
Each student will pick one chit from each bowl and hand them to the judge.
-
- Chanting Process:
-
-
The judge will prompt them by reading the last quarter of the verse before the one they picked.
-
Example:
-
If a student picks verses 3, 11, 17, and 25, the judge will read the last quarter of verse 2, and the student must chant verses 3, 4 & 5.
-
Then, the judge will read the last quarter of verse 10, and the student chants verses 11, 12 & 13, and so on.
-
-
- Recalling Time:
-
-
After receiving the judge’s prompt, students can take a couple of minutes to recall the verses before chanting.
-
3. Students with Partial Memorization
- Students who have memorized less than 29 verses but at least 14 verses will chant 2 or 3 sets based on the number of verses they have memorized.
